We will be going from this to this.

1. Duplicate your base and set it to screen and opacity at 100%. You may have to do this more then once or not at all depending on your image.

2. Make a new Curves layer, Layer>New Adjustments Layer>Curves. My settings were the following:


RGB: Input=58, Output=49
Blues: Input=75, Output=35

set this layer to Normal with an opacity of 100%.

3. Make a new adjustments layer, this time Selective Color, with the following settings:

Reds: Cyan=-100, Magenta=0, Yellow=+100, Black=0
Yellows: Cyan=-+100, Magenta=0, Yellow=-100, Black=0

set this to Normal at 100%

My image now looks like this.

4. Make another Selective Color layer, with these settings:

Reds: Cyan=-100, Magenta=0, Yellow=-37, Black=0
Yellows: Cyan=-100, Magenta=0, Yellow=-100, Black=0
Neutrals: Cyan=0, Magenta=0, Yellow=-8, Black=0

set this to Normal with an opacity of 50%.

5. Make a new Fill Layer, and fill it with a light blue, #00C4ED, set this to Soft Light at 40%.

My image now looks like this.

6. Make a new Curves adjustments layer, with the following settings:

Red: Input=47, Output=31
Green: Input=52, Output=40
Blues: Input=53, Output=48

set this layer to Soft Light at 100%.

7. Make a adjustments layer, this time,Color Balance with these settings:

Midtons: -35, +20, +28

MAKE SURE PRESERVE LUMINOSITY IS CHECKED!

8. Make another New Fill layer, and fill it with #02202E, set this to Exlusion at 40%.

9. Lastly I always like to make the colors pop out a little more to do so I went to Layer>New Adjustments Layer>Hue/Saturation. Set the saturation to +20.

10. Remember, results may vary depending on which image you chose. You may have to play around with the settings a little.

My final product is this.
